RECOVERY DAY
Shoulder news is a seperated Ac or Al.....didn't catch the term exactly..can recover if not a tear. So rest, Ice and Advil. Ok. I can do that. Feels better today, just stiff neck and back from favoring it. No lifting above my head or paddling this week at all.
Pat is on track with a nice easy paddle after unloading and reorgainzing the skis.
Equipment used
I have been asked many times about the skis and paddles used by the top ten finishers. Here is my best recollection.

3. Mako 6, Fenn 3
4. Epic, Epic
5. Fenn Elite, Jantex
6. Mako 6, Onno

Great weekend for Ocean Paddlesports/Fenn and Patrick
What a superb race for the Fenn boys..Top 3 and Patrick 5th and 1st women with Nikki smoking the course to come in 8th. You guys/gals are great.
Eva winning the short course and NOAH...number 9. I am so proud of everyone. Mocke PFDs sold like hot cakes and Fenn Elites went home with happy customers..still with sand on them from Dawid, Hank, Nikki and Pat.

Only real downer was for me personally. I had a fantastic 20 mintues of racing until my shoulder pulled..popped and stopped working under the gate. My paddle stuck, my boat spun and I was done. Tried to limp back to the start, but could not use my right arm...rode a safety boat back to the beach and watched the rest of the weekend. I gave up my mixed doubles to Nikki and Pat. Not sure what I did, but not too pleased about my first signifcant injury in almost 15 years.
I will do a big write up about the weekend for my home page later when the photos are uploaded and the trailer and boxes unpacked again.
Thanks to Wavechaser for a wonderful event!!
San Francisco
2 kids left at home and 1 went with Patrick in the car...SF here we come!!
5km time trial and lots of work
Pat and I did a quick 5km then spent all day loading the trailer for San Francisco. What a lot of work when the container arrives..yikes...I'm tired.
Now my ski is gone, so maybe a run and a swim before the racing starts.
Container watch and Mockes arrive
Paddled with Eva this am..10 x 1' on 1' 80% for feeling..great warm up...
Home to wait for container news and Dawid and Nikki Mocke.

Another day with Billy and Tracy
Stated off with 3 minute pieces...Harkers Double and Eva and De singles. Billy poured on the power at piece number 4 and cracked his paddle...they limped in and Eva and I took off around the loop in the ocean. Well done Eva....Then the Harkers headed to San Diego where they met up with Chris Barlow, Ken Austed and an amazing group of paddlers for session number 2 down South...(Billy has a borrowed paddle!)..
Thanks to Chris and everyone down there for coming out and meeting them!
Welcome to the Harkers from South Africa
Great day on the water with 3 mixed doubles...De and Pat, Tracy and Billy, Noah and Eva and Steve...19.5 km broken up in 5 and 3 mintue pieces. We paddled out to meet the outriggers racing back from Catalina.
