Last paddle of the year

What a great paddle today to end the year. Noah, Eva, Pat, D, KC, Corry, Ryan and Jerry.....3 x3' at 85%, 4 x 4:30 at 70/80/70/80/100 and then 8 x 1' rest 30". A super group and a wonderful way to say goodbye to 2008. Happy New Year to everyone!!!

Great group on the water today

See main page photo for the group. Work out was awesome. 1 x 5', 2 x 4', 3 x 3', 4 x 2', 5 x 1' and 6 x 30" burned up some of the chocolate, beers, cookies and candy canes...ready for some champagne.

Merry Christmas to everyone

Still not alot of paddling here..rain and cold(not compared to most places though!)..and busy times. Heres wishing everyone who reads this a great Christmas and a new year filled with lots of wonderful paddling...and thanks for supporting Ocean Paddlesports. We are in are 11th year of business and we appreciate all our loyal customers.

HO HO HO

Not a lot of paddlding going on here..Rain and more rain makes for dirty bay..Ocean would be good, but not enough time in the day. 2 kids holiday parites, Pat extra work, Boat parade of lights, santa visits with Danica. Pat, Noah, KC had a ripper on Sunday with good waves and wind. They did triangle loops out around the harbor entrance...but not me..too COLD!

Hi De, it was 41F when we went out this morning at 6. I like it better when we go at 9am!!!But, you get a lot of stuffs done when you start early...see you soon!

A great group of paddlers today!

Seems our 9am group is growing.
Pat, Eva, D, KC, Rich and Ryan....we did 3 x 3' at 70%, then 4 x 4:30 every 30" 70/80 and the last 30" at 90% then ended with 8 x 30" on 1' off.
About 14 km total with warm up and down.

A little wind today

Eva, KC, Ryan, Pat and I did 3 x 10' pieces and 4 x 5' pieces out and up with a good south breeze..some fun llittle bumps to catch and ride.

Oceanside Race

Pefect day for the beach. But no wind and an out and back course makes for kinda a slog when racing. Lots of happy paddlers though and it was a fun day to see everyone out enjoying the sport. Pat ended up 5th and I was first women. Seemed to be lots of paddlers from the Olympic Training center and lots of Juniors. Good day for Fenn skis, 1st, 1st and 1st double, etc. OPS News item image

Race tomorrow

Pat and I got on the water today for 1 hour. 30' warm up and then 15 x 30" on 30" off in sets of 5 max pace..now loading up for Oceanside race.
Eva missed us with too many sick people at work.

Welcome to Ryan from Huntington Beach State Lifeguards....on a spec ski..good job. D, Eva and Ryan...12 x 3' pieces with 1' break, in sets of 4 with varying tempos...
