12 X 4 Minute pieces
Nice and steady today. Good group with Pat, Corry, Rich and Ed.
Double ski with Christina and all the fast guys
This was the right day to go double. Christina and I managed to hang with the group of Philippe, Rich, Rami, Cliff, Patrick and Jeff Smoke. We did pieces in the flat and walked over to the ocean as well. Lots of fun not to be scraping at the back.
Some good sessions
Today with Eva and Ed..10 x 3' in sets with 1 off between. These are supposed to be hard.
Had a fun wash riding session with Eva and Christina..each pulling 5' x 4 times each, no stopping.
Our 12 year old son Hayden
We just got word from the California State Lifeguard Association that Hayden won an award for the most outstanding Junior Lifeguard for the State of California.
Unknown to us, the junior llifeguard program that he is involved with(Cal State /Chris Egan) sbmitted his name and made a presentation along with the other cities and Lilfeguard agencies for their choices.. After their presentaions there was a vote and Hayden was the winner. He will be the first name on the perpetual trophey, and was given a $300 scholarship. Thank you to Chris Egan, CSLA and Bob Burnside. As parents, we are so thriled and of course, Hayden is stoked!

Rest days
Ready to go race. Rested a bit and packed up to travel. Looking forward to racing Phatwater.
Getting ready for Mississippi
Missed writing down a few of our workouts..
10x 4' pieces and then yesterday a good 21 km in double, the ocean was running a bit so we had some surf. Then this am with Rich we had another downwind the other way in singles., No wonder the California ocean is so messed up. The wind and swell come from all over and change directions every day. This week is sorta a rest week as we travel on Friday and race 42 miles on Saturday.
