Fri, October 16, 2009
We just got word from the California State Lifeguard Association that Hayden won an award for the most outstanding Junior Lifeguard for the State of California.
Unknown to us, the junior llifeguard program that he is involved with(Cal State /Chris Egan) sbmitted his name and made a presentation along with the other cities and Lilfeguard agencies for their choices.. After their presentaions there was a vote and Hayden was the winner. He will be the first name on the perpetual trophey, and was given a $300 scholarship. Thank you to Chris Egan, CSLA and Bob Burnside. As parents, we are so thriled and of course, Hayden is stoked!

- Congrats! Not only to Hayden but also to you, D and Pat! I have heard nothing but great things about Hayden from the JG instructor staff, and this award is deserved. At this pace, I see a 'State Lifeguard Rookie of the Year' award in his future....

- Hayden has been my piano student for many years and has performed as well in his music as his water sports. He is a hard worker and dedicated student as well as a GOOD KID! Wherever he goes he will be an asset. He is a favorite in this studio!
