USA Champs, Chicago Shoreline and Colorado 100

Time to start thinking about some new races. We want to take a trailer of skis from San Fran and the Champs, August 22-23 to Chicago...August 29 and then down to Texas for the Colorado 100, Sept 5.

      <dc:subject>Events, USA</dc:subject>

Who is keen and would want a spot? Who would come from overseas and rent a ski for 1 or 2 or all 3??? This is just a bulletin to see what the interest is...let us know so we can make it happen and lets go race! We decided on some pricing. This is to cover gas money and time to pull the trailer.
$100 USA Champs only. US Champs and Chicago $300..Chicago only $250. The Colorado 100 is not that well known..so we are not sure if we will get the response. check out the web site http://www.coloradoriver100.com 100 miles downriver..yeha!

Molokai Wrap up

After a week or so of reflection on the trip and the race, all that comes to mind is what a great race this is. Even though for the 3rd run in a row, the wind decided not to blow, the channel stills attracts the best in the world to give it a go. I want to say congratulations to Hank Mcgregor and Katie Popcock...what incredible performances. Fun to see Katie win it. I also want to mention that although I saw mostly the parking lot and the trailer while loading up skis, how lucky we are to have so many kind paddlers helping us out. Without our friends in Hawaii, it would be impossible to have the Fenn skis available there for the Aussies, Canadians, Tahitians and mainland paddlers. We are not a huge company, rather just me and Patrick. So thanks to everyone who lended a helping hand.
Until next year, aloha!!

Patrick wins Wavechaser Race Day 1 on the Synergy

San Fransicso was cold, rainy and breezy so a great day to test the new Synergy. Overall impressions from Patrick were that it was so stable in the messy water, and obviously fast enough to win the race. Second place went to Chris Stout on his new Mako Elite..followed by local favorites Carter Johnson and Dave Jenson. Day 2 is cancelled due to the extreme weather forcast.

Molokai Surfski Race Rentals

With the amount of inquiries I am getting, it's not too soon to take reservations for skis in Hawaii for the Molokai. With Fenn skis dominating the world cup circut last year and so far this fall, we have to make plans now to have skis available. Looks like we will have about 10 Fenn Elites and 15 Mako 6s, and a few Mako XTs, all carbon vacum. Rental will stay the same as last year.... $500 for 7-10 days prior to and including the race. We hate to charge so much, but Ocean Paddlesports has to ship a full trailer there and back so rentals just cover that exspense. Contact DeAnne to make a reservation.
